The Grill on The Alley - A Gourmet's Retreat

The Grill on the Alley - A Gourmet's Retreat

Understated elegance dominates
the interior's black & white setup
while generating a noble vibe.
Discreet glamour fills the lofty
interior while dimmed lights
create a cozy, intimate setting
to savor delectable meals, close
great deals or indulge in sweet
romance.
Comfy black leather-topped
booths, all white walls and
impeccably arranged tables -
neatly draped with crisp white
tablecloths, sporting shiny
cutlery, crystal stemware and
starched, elaborately folded
napkins - indicate high-end table
culture, upscale culinary delights
and thorough gastronomic
perfection.
Black & White Photographs of
Hollywood's icons from the
golden 20ies tell the stories of
blissful times and glory.
Charming waiters sneak discreetly
around tables while seemingly
reading from the guest's lips -
refilling water goblets without
request - very low-key and silent.

A roped-off patio appointed with
round cast-iron tables and
matching chairs is arranged out
on the Kodak Theater passage
inviting regulars and appealing
tourists to a one-of-a-kind
Hollywood landmark dining
experience on the symbolic
Dream-Factory's grounds.
While dining on the patio a
lively background soundtrack
studded with international
chitchat and a buzz wafting
from Kodak Theater's shopping
area will infuse your dining
experience - more or less.

Although implying a black tie
hang out, the dress code is rather
casual but should be neat and
decent simultaneously. You will
spot many suit clad gentleman
when a friendly host will direct
you to your table...

Snug up in one of the cozy
booths inside or opt for a table
on the patio. Either way you
will have a perfect vantage point
on business luncheons, tourists
or dating couples. One is sure -
the patio is never going to be
quiet and cozy due to the
aforementioned visitors that
haunt the Kodak Theater every
day, all day - the patio is still
worth a shot if you don't mind
the buzz.
This lovely eatery's menu is large
and varied: luscious steaks and
chicken meat served sizzling-fresh
from the grill, crispy roasted fish
and sea food specialties, ample
options of fresh salads and grilled
veggies, and - to top it all off - a
number of hearty pasta dishes
complete the bill of fare. Opt for
the blakened Tilapia in a butter
capern sauce, served with a creamy
potato-spinach mix alongside and
garnished with pieces of aromatic
red pepers and crispy grilled
asparagus (11.25$). Or go for the
peanut-encrusted Ahi Tuna served
with grilled Zuccini and Eggplant -
it's a palate-exhilarating experience!
The cooks don't skimp at all -
serving just the right portions.

Kitchen 24 - Designer Diner Deluxe

Kitchen 24 - Designer Diner Deluxe

Fashionistas and design-devotees are
delighted by all the style and glam they
encounter while paying visit to this
etro-luxe designer trimmed eatery.
Here, the interior's arrangement, the
exclusive designs with lovely
sophisticated details create the ideal
setting for the style-conscious, though
nostalgic heart of a design fanatic.

Hipster Hollywood types lounge on the
comfy black/white-leather booths or
hang out at the bar. The vibe is vibrant
and an exciting breeze of glamour fills
the air, setting Hollyglamour and
Hollyweird into the right mood to share
the latest gossip and feel beyond fabulous.

Heavy dark brown circular booths are
thickly upholstered and topped with
white leather, forming a mix of styles:
the terribly chic ArtDeco look merged
with a 50ies style American diner bar.
Artful cylindric chandeliers made up of
interlocking silverware serve as radiant
highlights and give the whole
arrangement sassy finishing touches.
Funky Jazz beats spinned by a hipster
DJ spice up the vibe.
In-house made food from organic
ingredients and fresh produce is what
the menu claims. American leaned
dishes seem simple, but turn out to be
fairly sophisticated and deliciously
pimped up.
Find waffles, omelets, skillets, steaks
and a wide range of egg-dishes. For
those who skip carbs: remarkably, but
this American dinner serves you with a
lot of high-protein menu options, offering
not only diverse egg dishes, but steaks,
salmon and even tofu(!) all day. Find
also divers salads and soups for the
light hunger.
My breakfast/lunch recommendation
is the Mediterranean Tofu Scramble. It
delights the palate with fried n’ crumbled
extra firm tofu, caramelized onions,
peppers, tomatoes, kalamata olives, Feta
cheese, garbanzo beans, fresh basil and
spinach. (9.25$) Meals are served on
white oval-shaped platters by hurrying
servants who seem to be too caught up in
their routine to spare a smile.

Dress casual for lunch and glam it up
at night. A buzzing glitzy crowd gathers
in the evening hours to discuss the
latest vibes of the hipster scene.
In the morning patrons nurse their
hangover with a Bloody Mary on the
rocks and fresh stick of celery. Bottoms
up!

Introduction: The Los Angeles Diary

Welcome to The Los Angeles Diary - a L.A.
glamazon's and fashionsita's journal providing
an insight into her fabulous life and passionate
heart filled with invaluable and unforgettable
Hollyglamorous memories of glitzy red-carpet
events, adventurous getaways, wet n' salty fun
in Malibu's ocean waves, Tinsel Town's glamazing
personalities and fantabulous celeb spottings. I
would like to introduce you to 'The L.A. Way of
Life' and fill you in on some sweetly romantic, ultra
scrumptious, extremely fervent and phenomenally
sensational L.A.-style stories - the whole bunch
drenched in the golden rays of divine Californian
sun, basking in a heavenly turquoise blue sky.
Come, take a glorious walk of fame with me on
the glitzy concrete (it's has been ineed mixed
with glitter!) of Hollywood's famous Boulevards ...

But first, let me confide to you how my exciting
Love affair with La La Land had begun. It was the
beginning of a passionate romace...
After the plane touched ground with LAX on May,
1st 2008, I felt that this trip is going to change
my life for ever. My intuition didn't deceive me
and after four months living and working in L.A.
I was determined that this is where I want to be
for the rest of my life. My work as "City Editor "
for Citysearch was a real success and over the
course of time I made plenty of friends and
connections. Angelenos loved me, adored my
European looks and high dose of enthusiasm.
Ever since then I couldn't help it but I keep
returning to the City of Angels - my Love. Los
Angeles encourages and teaches me to pursue
and live my dreams; it lets me be who I want to
be with all it's characteristics, nature and ways.

With my outsider's perspective in tow I would
like to share my personal stories and
introduce you to My Los Angeles, telling you
about Hollyglamour and Hollyweird,
explaining "The Los Angeles Way of Life" and
the "L.A. Bible of Hip" - knowing every hipster
commandment - so you get an insight in what
is actually "So L.A.!". My stories take place at
my fave spots, hot and hipster places, can't
miss fashion boutiques, delicious and of-the-
moment eateries, fashionable bars, sliky in-
demand clubs, memorable events, glamorous
parties, exciting celeb encounters and tell
about some fabulous personalities that I am
befriended with.
L.A.'s Glamazons want to have fun - L.A. de
luxe style - of course - want to walk red carpets
in staggering high heels and woo hot princes
with eyelash flutter; want to attend extravagant
parties and rub elbows with George and Brad
while L.A.'s Fashionistas choose their daily
attire and shopping routes as carefully as they
pick out eateries and meals. With me, as the
ultimate Glamazon and Fashionista I would
like to introduce you to my personal Go-To-
Guide and Story: The Los Angeles Diary.
